Client Services Documentation Specialist/CAD

Department: Client Support Services
Location: Rancho Cucamonga , CA

The Client Services Documentation Specialist reports directly to the Client Support Services Manager. The Client Services Documentation Specialist uses CAD software and Bluebeam to prepare, and reference technical drawings from handwritten drawings, electronic sketches, and diagrams. Details to include all views and notations necessary. This will be an in-office position. As a Client Services Documentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and comprehensive documentation of all aspects of our projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to collect, organize, and maintain project documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must deliver drawings to budget and deadlines as forecasted.
  • Utilizes computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to create and revise reference drawings.
  • Sets up and maintains an organized file system for drawings.
  • Communicates with Project Managers and/or associate team members regarding new or revised drawings and prints.
  • Makes copies of drawings and maintains information regarding changes to database.
  • Makes simple decisions but refers most questions/problems to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Documentation Management: Manage the creation, review, and revision of project documentation, including project plans, reports, meeting minutes, requirements documents, and other project-related materials.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, and ensure that documentation accurately reflects project status and deliverables.
  • Organization: Organize and maintain project documentation in a centralized repository, ensuring easy access and version control for all stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews of project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project teams to disseminate important information, clarify documentation requirements, and address any concerns or discrepancies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline documentation processes, improve documentation templates, and enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to project team members on documentation best practices, tools, and processes as needed.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, standards, and safety rules.
  • Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by manager.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • May be required to work additional hours and/or weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines

Experience/Education:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school
  • At least 3+ years’ experience related experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bluebeam experience is must
  • Fluke/Linkware experience is a plus
