Senior Account Manager

Job Purpose:

The Sr. Account Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Sales. The Sr. Account Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue in new accounts by identifying, qualifying and closing new business in line with NIC Partners’ strategy of proving and managing a defined set of business solutions including Convergence, IP Telephony, Mobility and Networking. The Sr. Account Manager will create customer relationships with a “consultative” approach to bringing technology solutions to business challenges. Their knowledge and understanding of selling IP Telephony, Wireless, Networking, and other IP based solutions will be key to creating alliances with our customers. The candidate must be high energy, forward thinking, and a positive influence on the team and the clients. Planning and participating in marketing and business development activities is required.

Responsibilities/Duties

Experience/Education:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 5+ years’ experience in a Sales role within the IT Industry.

· Experience selling Cisco solutions is preferred.

· Equivalent combination of education/job experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Personal: Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent sales and customer management skills; ability to uncover and maximize opportunity to sell NIC Partners’ Professional and Managed Services offerings in a profitable fashion; excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to identify clients’ business goals and constraints, and manage your business and activities against those goals and constraints; ability to build lasting customer relationships; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, both personally and delegated through staff; proven ability to work independently to identify new customers and new sales opportunities in your geographic region; high degree of business acumen and relationship development skills. Strong interpersonal understanding demonstrated through relationship building

Communication: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to a prescribed style and format; ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors; ability to influence and negotiate based on customer value.

Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer: Ability to proficiently use computer software programs and related computer applications, Outlook, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications and other industry-specific technology tools used within the organization. Willingness to learn additional software applications.

Physical and Environmental Elements:

Physical demands: Ability to sit continuously for over 1/3 of normal work shift. Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch on a regular basis. Ability to talk and to hear continuously. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 1/3 of the normal work shift.

Vision: Ability to see at close range (20 inches or less), at a distance (clear vision at 20 feet or more), ability to identify and distinguish colors, ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships, and ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.

Work Environment: Employees work in an office environment. Noise levels are moderate (such as computers and printers) and temperature conditions are usually controlled.

Travel: Substantial travel – up to 50% can be expected.

Special Requirements:

Pay Range: Base of $75,000
